How to succeed with your StageWave implementation
Consider this to fine-tune your StageWave setup

There are many musicians around who love StageWave, one thing they have in common is that they have been concerned about getting the most out of their hardware, because, even though StageWave is 100% software based, it depends on your equipment being well configured (Mixer, PC, Router, Phones).

For that reason, here we leave you 8 keys to succeed implementing StageWave with your band. ✅

  1. Use the drivers of your audio device: Whether you use an audio interface or a digital console, when using Windows you will need to install the original driver for your device, never use generic drivers for the StageWave Server Application.
  2. Use a certified network cable: One of StageWave's technical requirements is that your computer be connected to your router via a network cable. You must use a cable that is at least CAT6 certified, this will avoid any data loss in the physical layer of the system.
  3. Make sure you have the right router: Unfortunately, not all routers on the market work well with StageWave, so in our help center we have prepared a list of recommended router models for the number of devices you need to use.
  4. Set your router to avoid interference: This is crucial, even the best router on the market will perform poorly if there is interference from other nearby routers, that's why we made THIS TUTORIAL, where you can see how to configure a WiFI router to avoid interference.
  5. Prepare your phone to use StageWave: It is important that everyone in your band knows how to prepare their phones for StageWave... Turn on airplane mode, turn on WiFi, turn off Bluetooth and GPS (location services on iOS ) and finally close all other open applications, this will allow your device to have all its resources for the use of StageWave. This way you will avoid both network losses and audio processing errors.
  6. Familiarize yourself with the system: It is extremely important that someone in your band takes the responsibility of knowing StageWave fully, that is why we recommend doing a very controlled first test with only one device, after that test is successful, they can proceed to a system recognition rehearsal, where everyone in your band will understand what StageWave is and how to use it correctly. This way, the transition won't be overwhelming.
  7. Consider other ways to use StageWave: There are musicians who already use their personal computer live and also others who don't need to move on stage, for them there are two usage options that will be useful. The first is the option to use wired connections using a Lightning or USB-C network adapter, this allows your WIFi router to work less demanding. The second option is to use the StageWave app for musicians on a personal computer, this app is available for both Windows and Mac, this allows you to free up your phone and take advantage of the power of a personal computer and its ethernet network port.
  8. Consult the StageWave team: If you have a problem with StageWave that you cannot solve, do not hesitate to contact our team, we will be happy to help you, even scheduling a video call. It is very important to us that you succeed in your implementation.
