System Requirements
To use StageWave you need some requirements for your devices

Audio mixer or audio interface requirements

StageWave can use any audio interface that your operating system recognizes and support the next requirements:

  • 48Khz sampling support.
  • It must support working with 16-bit samples.
  • In case of using Windows, the audio device must have ASIO drivers provided by the device manufacturer.

Computer requirements

  • 64-bit processor.
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • At least 500 MB of free disk space available.
  • One Gigabit Ethernet port (you can use a Gigabit Ethernet USB 3.0, USB 3.1, or Thunderbolt adapter if you have a Mac).
  • The computer must recognize the interface or console as an audio device.

Windows devices

  • Windows 10 ou superior.
  • ASIO drivers for the audio device must be installed.
  • Configure the ASIO driver to have safe mode disabled or use a low latency mode.
  • Verify that there is no firewall blocking the local StageWave server.

Mac devices

  • Any Mac in early 2011 or later.
  • macOS 10.12 or newer.

Router requirements

  • WiFi 802.11ac version or newer.
  • 5 GHz WiFi support.
  • MU-MIMO technology.
  • At least 1 Gigabit Ethernet network port.
  • A CAT6 Ethernet cable (CAT7 is recommended for distances greater than 30 m).
  • Configured on an interference-free WiFi channel (we recommend setting the bandwidth at 20Mhz).
  • In the case of a tri-band router, use both 5 GHz networks independently by configuring different names for each network.

Smartphone requirements

IOS devices

StageWave can run on iOS devices with the following features:

  • iOS 10 or newer.
  • iPhone: 5s onwards.
  • iPad Air: 1st gen. onwards.
  • iPad Pro: 1st gen. onwards.
  • iPad: 4th gen. onwards.
  • iPad Mini: 2nd gen. onwards.

Android devices

Android is a special case because there are many manufacturers, in our tests StageWave can run on Android devices with the following characteristics:

  • Android 8 or newer.
  • Quadcore processor or superior.
  • 4 GB of RAM or more.
  • 5 GHz WiFi (802.11ac or newer).

Preparation of mobile devices

Mobile teams should be prepared in the following way to have a good experience with the system:

  • "Airplane mode" activated.
  • Bluetooth off.
  • GPS or location services turned off.
  • WiFi on.
  • Set Airdrop to "Don't Receive" (iPhone only).
  • Close all other applications.

Note: Motorola devices in general have not shown good performance even though they meet most of the requirements.
